Meetings take the form of general informal discussions around a specific topic raised previously by the group members. The aim is to present some stimulus material and then hope that a good and meaningful discussion follows.

They meet at the Group Leader’s house in Rayleigh on the fourth Thursday of the month at 2.00pm and the meetings last approximately two hours (including tea and biscuits). The group structure allows any member of the U3A to join in, by prearrangement. 

No previous knowledge or experience are necessary, just an interest in thinking about things from a psychological viewpoint.
