The Visiting Interesting Places in Essex Group meets on the 3rd Monday of each month and visits a variety of interesting places and buildings including churches in Essex.

V.I.P.E. members must have their own transport as the Group does not usually use public transport.

Formerly the Essex Church Group 2, the Group have expanded their itinerary to include places of architectural interest, historical interest and unusual places in Essex followed by a pub lunch afterwards.

We have visited The Bay & Transport Museums on Canvey Island; Boxted Airfield Museum; St. Peters Church & Paycockes in Coggeshall; Bata; Chelmsford Theatre Backstage Tour; Purfleet Heritage & Military Centre; St. Christophers & St. Andrews Churches in Willingale; an Alpaca farm and Essex Police Museum.

We also have a Festive Lunch.
